History & Background:
Africatown Center for Education & Innovation (ACEI) was formed in 2013 by a group of concerned parents, veteran educators and community stakeholders to address the growing educational crisis of African-American students within the Seattle Public School District.
ACEI has developed a concerted effort to change the trajectory of African-American students by providing a culturally responsive learning community that fosters hope, resilience, and academic achievement.
